Let’s Go!

Hello and welcome back my loves! For those of you that haven’t been keeping up with this trip, t-minus 4 days until I venture to Europe! After almost 9 full months of planning the day will finally arrive. I cannot express enough how excited I am to start this new adventure.

The bags are packed (well, mostly packed). My savings is stocked and will hopefully survive the expenses and temptations that will come from living in such an amazing place. I will say that packing has been a much faster process than I originally thought as I have had so much to pack for previous school years. Nothing like going abroad to bring you back to basics.

Ready for my going away brunch this Saturday. American style of course.

I think the biggest thing will be the food, while the top of brunch is being brought up. So, I made a list of the top five things I apparently *must* try while staying in Surrey.

  1. Fish and Chips (as if that wasn’t the most obvious thing in the world)
  2. Full English Breakfast (will have to keep you posted on that one as I don’t currently eat meat)
  3. Beans and Toast (wish me luck with that one)
  4. Afternoon Tea
  5. Whitebait (don’t know about that one guys)

Last, but certainly not least, I have to give a shoutout to Uncle Paul and Kimberley who are going to be my tour guides for the first few days. I cannot wait to be shown around and see how the locals live. Thanks again for taking in an American like me and getting ready to treat me like one of your own (just hopefully light on the drinking due to my small tolerance). This time next week you will be receiving my posts from across the pond, time change pending.

  1. that picture doesn’t do my brunch plan any justice 😉 homemade egg souffle casserole, homemade cinnamon rolls, bagels, cream cheese and lox (which you won’t eat but we will!) and some yummy fruit – i’m going to remind you how much you’ll miss me so you will be sure to come home when the bell tolls!
